Emergency Telecommunicator Services is seeking Emergency Medical Dispatchers to handle urgent medical calls, verify locations, and coordinate ambulance responses. You will follow dispatch protocols and provide pre-arrival instructions while maintaining patient confidentiality.

The role may require CPR certification and ongoing training; assignments can include nights, weekends, and overtime as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• CPR certification may be required.
• EMT or paramedic credentials not universal; check vacancy.

Responsibilities

• Receive calls involving illness, injury, and other medical emergencies.
• Confirm the patient’s location, callback number, and access details.
• Ask approved questions about the patient’s condition.
• Determine response priority through the authorized medical dispatch system.
• Dispatch or coordinate ambulance resources when included in the assignment.
• Provide protocol-based instructions within current qualifications.
• Relay patient information and scene hazards to responding personnel.
• Document call processing and participate in quality-review activities.
