County Emergency Communications seeks a skilled dispatcher to manage EMS calls from a centralized console. You will verify locations, caller information, and access details while following established protocols to determine dispatch priority and coordinate ambulance resources.

The role requires CPR certification and may involve shift rotations, nights, weekends, and overtime as needed to support continuous emergency response operations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent commonly required.
• CPR certification may be required; EMT/paramedic credentials are not universal requirements.

Responsabilités

• Receive calls involving illness, injury, and other medical emergencies.
• Confirm the patient’s location, callback number, and access details.
• Ask approved questions about the patient’s condition.
• Determine response priority through the authorized medical dispatch system.
• Dispatch or coordinate ambulance resources when included in the assignment.
• Provide protocol-based instructions within current qualifications.
• Relay patient information and scene hazards to responding personnel.
• Document call processing and participate in quality-review activities.
