Job summary

Mercy Health is seeking a Dispatcher for the Lima Dispatch center. You will receive requests for ground and air critical services, determine the best response, and dispatch appropriate units.

You’ll enter information into the CAD system, coordinate patient transport, and maintain contact with hospitals, EMS, and public safety personnel. The role requires strong communication, the ability to work under pressure, and knowledge of EMS regulations.

Qualifications

• Clear communication with callers and responders under pressure.
• Ability to triage transport requests and prioritize responses.
• Knowledge of EMS operations and transport protocols.
• Strong teamwork and coordination with hospitals and flight teams.

Responsibilities

• Receive transport requests by phone and radio.
• Determine appropriate response and dispatch units.
• Enter data accurately into the dispatch system.
• Coordinate patient placement at hospitals and monitor transport progress.
• Maintain professional communication with teams, staff and agencies.
