Job summary

Arlington County is seeking an Emergency Management Specialist II (Training and Exercise) to direct, develop, coordinate, conduct, and evaluate emergency management training, exercises, and drills that enhance county-wide readiness. The role collaborates with County agencies, regional partners, and federal entities to strengthen preparedness and resilience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Emergency Management, Public Safety Public Administration, or related field.
• Two years of experience in program administration and/or management including plans, training, and exercises.
• Completion of IC-100, IC-200, IS-700, IS-800, and IS-2200 within six months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates and facilitates training and exercises to test and improve emergency plans, procedures, and capabilities.
• Creates and assists in plans, policies, and procedures for emergency management training, exercises, and EOC operations.
• Fosters partnerships with County departments, agencies, nonprofit and private-sector partners.
