Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent.
• 4 years' Emergency Management experience.
• ICS training: ICS-100/200 and ICS-300-ICS-700-ICS-800–L580/L581 within two years.
• CPR, First Aid, AED Certification.
• Must possess a valid Washington State Driver's license.
• Successful pre-employment drug screen and criminal background check.
• Ability to work with vulnerable populations.
• State and FBI background checks required before employment.

Responsibilities

• Prepare plans outlining operating procedures for disasters and emergencies.
• Keep informed of federal, state, and local regulations affecting emergency plans.
• Prepare emergency status reports describing response and recovery efforts and damage assessments.
• Submit reports to supervisor and authorities with legal overview of the program.
• Inspect facilities and test equipment for operational capabilities in emergencies.
• Develop and test the Comprehensive Emergency Management Plan per regulations.
• Coordinate data, maintenance, and organization of Emergency Management supplies, equipment, and vehicles.
• Create and maintain inventory of Emergency Management supplies and vehicles.
• Deploy annual training and safety instructions for EMS equipment and vehicles.
• Provide monthly written updates to department leadership and Tribal members.
• Inform tribal community about opportunities for culturally based programs and services.
• Attend meetings to promote cultural preservation and development.
• Create flyers and calendars for events and activities.
