Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent.
• 4 years' experience in Emergency Management or continuity of operations.
• ICS Training Certification:ICS 100/ICS200 and passICS300-ICS700-ICS-800 - L580 and L581 within two years of employment.
• CPR, First Aid, AED certification.
• Valid Washington State Driver's license and driving record meets Nisqually vehicle insurance requirements.
• Pre-employment drug screen and criminal background check required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare plans outlining operating procedures for disasters or emergencies and recovery.
• Stay informed on federal, state, and local regulations affecting emergency plans.
• Complete emergency status reports describing response and recovery efforts and damage assessments.
• Prepare and submit reports to supervisor and authorities with legal overview of the program.
• Inspect facilities and test equipment for functional capabilities in emergencies.
• Develop evaluations and tests of the Comprehensive Emergency Management Plan (CEMP).
• Coordinate data, maintenance, and organization of all Emergency Management supplies, equipment, and vehicles.
• Create and maintain inventory of Emergency Management supplies and vehicles.
• Create annual training and safety instructions for Emergency Management equipment and vehicles.
• Disseminate incident information to Emergency Management staff and leadership.
• Work with diverse staff to train individuals at all educational levels.
• Assist during community and employee preparedness events.
• Plan, manage, and facilitate ongoing communications for multiple projects.
• Provide monthly written updates for department leadership and Tribal members.
