Job summary

County of Marin seeks an Emergency Management Coordinator within the Office of Emergency Management (OEM). The role focuses on Emergency Operations, Mitigation and Recovery, Training and Education, and Public Outreach to strengthen disaster readiness and response across the County.

You will research best practices, coordinate with agencies, and lead comprehensive training programs while maintaining readiness of the EOC and incident platforms.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in emergency management or related field and 2+ years of professional experience.
• Experience coordinating with city/county emergency operations centers.
• Strong writing, public speaking, and program management skills.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate Emergency Operations, Mitigation and Recovery, Training and Education, and Public Outreach within OEM.
• Maintain readiness of the County’s Emergency Operations Center and support incident response platforms.
• Lead county-wide emergency plans and training programs, and collaborate with local agencies.
• Report to the Director of Emergency Management or Chief Resilience Officer.
