Job summary

City of Sacramento seeks an experienced Emergency Management Coordinator (EMC) to lead all-hazard training, exercises, and community resource management. The role collaborates with federal, state, and local agencies and coordinates activities within the City’s EOC/COC for rapid response.

The ideal candidate will manage inter-agency communication, demonstrate calm situational awareness, and drive organizational resiliency across teams and stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Four years of progressively responsible professional-level administrative experience.
• Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited four-year college or university in business or public administration or closely related field.
• Desirable: experience in a governmental jurisdiction.

Responsibilities

• Execute all-hazard training and exercises for public safety.
• Coordinate community resource management and preparedness strategies.
• Collaborate with federal, state, and local agencies involved in emergency management planning and response.
• Support the Emergency Operations Center and inter-agency communication efforts.
