Job summary

City of Riverside seeks an experienced Emergency Services Administrator to plan, manage, and evaluate the City’s Office of Emergency Management and related programs. The role leads the Emergency Operations Center, coordinates regional homeland security initiatives and grants, and ensures regulatory compliance and fiscal accountability.

Qualifications

• Education: Equivalent to a bachelor's degree in public or business administration, public safety or related field.
• Experience: 3 years in emergency services program administration, planning and/or operations, including at least 1 year supervisory experience.
• Education alternative: two additional years of experience may substitute for two years of the required education.

Responsibilities

• Plan, direct, and oversee the City's emergency management program and EOC readiness.
• Develop goals, policies, procedures, and preparedness initiatives.
• Coordinate grant administration, budgets, expenditures, and reporting.
• Provide leadership, supervision, training, and performance evaluation for assigned personnel.
• Prepare and present program updates and reports to the Fire Chief, City Manager, and City Council.
