Job summary

MoDOT is seeking an on-call emergency operations operator for snow removal at the St. Robert Maintenance Facility. Hours will vary with weather events and include a temporary $3/hour adjustment during winter operations.

Minimum qualifications include a CDL (Class A or B) with no air brake restrictions, and successful completion of a background check and drug screen. Overtime and nighttime work may be required.

Job description

This is an on-call position - hours will vary depending on weather events. This position is eligible for a temporary emergency operations adjustment of $3 per hour when handling winter/emergency operations activities.

Job Location:St. Robert Maintenance Facility

EMERGENCY WAGE RATES:

1st Season: $20.00 hourly

2nd and 3rd Season: $21.11 hourly

4th Season or more: $22.37 hourly

What you'll do:

Minimum Qualifications:

• At least 18 years of age.
• Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A or B with no air brake restrictions and interstate status (either Excepted Interstate [EI] or Non-Excepted Interstate [NI]).
• Successful completion of a criminal background check and drug screen.

Special Working Conditions:

• Job may require overtime and nighttime work.
• Job requires outdoor work that involves exposure to physical hazards, health and safety risks, and/or adverse or otherwise undesirable characteristics in the environment, including risk of physical injury from carrying out duties in heavy traffic areas, on or near heavy equipment or machinery, and with hazardous chemicals or materials.
