Job summary

MoDOT is seeking an on-call Emergency Maintenance Equipment Operator based at the Rolla Maintenance Facility. The role involves snow removal operations under direct supervision and includes an emergency wage adjustment of $3 per hour during winter activities.

Responsibilities include operating snow plows, spreading ice control materials, and performing routine vehicle and equipment maintenance. CDL A or B with no air brake restrictions is required; background check and drug screen are mandatory.

Qualifications

• At least 18 years of age.
• Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A or B with no air brake restrictions and interstate status (EI or NI).
• Successful completion of a criminal background check and drug screen.

Job description

This is an on-call position - hours will vary depending on weather events. This position is eligible for a temporary emergency operations adjustment of $3 per hour when handling winter/emergency operations activities.
Job Location: Rolla Maintenance Facility
Emergency Wage Rates
1st Season: $20.00 hourly
2nd and 3rd Season: $21.11 hourly
4th Season or more: $22.37 hourly

Special Working Conditions:

• Job may require overtime and nighttime work.
• Job requires outdoor work that involves exposure to physical hazards, health and safety risks, and/or adverse or otherwise undesirable characteristics in the environment, including risk of physical injury from carrying out duties in heavy traffic areas, on or near heavy equipment or machinery, and with hazardous chemicals or materials.
