Job summary

State of Missouri's MoDOT Iberia Maintenance Facility seeks an on-call Emergency Maintenance Equipment Operator to support snow removal operations. Hours vary with weather events and an emergency wage adjustment applies during operations.

Responsibilities include operating snow plows and spreading ice control materials, performing routine vehicle and equipment maintenance, and complying with safety and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.

Job description

This is an on-call position - hours will vary depending on weather events. This position is eligible for a temporary emergency operations adjustment of $3 per hour when handling winter/emergency operations activities.

• 1st Season: $20.00 hourly
• 2nd and 3rd Season: $21.11 hourly
• 4th Season or more: $22.37 hourly

Minimum Qualifications

• At least 18 years of age.
• Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A or B with no air brake restrictions and interstate status (either Excepted Interstate [EI] or Non-Excepted Interstate [NI]).
• Successful completion of a criminal background check and drug screen.

Special Working Conditions

• Job may require overtime and nighttime work.
• Job requires outdoor work that involves exposure to physical hazards, health and safety risks, and/or adverse or otherwise undesirable characteristics in the environment, including risk of physical injury from carrying out duties in heavy traffic areas, on or near heavy equipment or machinery, and with hazardous chemicals or materials.
