Job summary

Veterinary Specialty Center of Seattle in Lynnwood, WA seeks a Veterinary Assistant for our Emergency/ICU team. This full-time role includes Sunday-Wednesday shifts 7:30a-6p and Saturday-Monday overnight 5p-5a, contributing to a 24-hour emergency and critical care hospital.

You will support veterinarians, educate clients, and help maintain smooth patient flow in a busy, collaborative environment. We value compassionate patient care, teamwork, autonomy, and ongoing learning.

Qualifications

• 2 years veterinary assisting/technician experience
• Desire to offer superior patient care
• Positive work attitude
• Flexible schedule

Responsibilities

• Support veterinarians to ensure quality veterinary care, advocate for pets, and educate clients.
• Assist with treatments and procedures to maximize productivity and positive patient flow.
• Communicate with clients about individualized pet health concerns
• Maintain relevant, comprehensive medical records with practice systems
• Obtain health history and information from clients and maintain medical charts
• Use safe restraining techniques and keep treatment areas clean and organized
• Guide, mentor, and support fellow team members
