Job summary

The Veterinary Specialty Center Seattle in Lynnwood, WA, is seeking a Veterinary Assistant to join our Emergency team. This full-time role supports veterinarians and the medical team in a 24‑hour emergency hospital, with Sunday–Wednesday 7:30a–6p and Saturday–Monday 5p–5a (overnight).

Ideal candidates have 2 years of veterinary assisting/technician experience, a dedication to patient care, a positive attitude, and a flexible schedule.

Qualifications

• 2 years of veterinary assisting/technician experience preferred.
• Desire to offer superior patient care.
• Positive work attitude & flexible schedule.

Responsibilities

• Support veterinarians to ensure quality veterinary care, advocate for pets and educate clients.
• Assist with treatments and procedures and maintain positive patient flow.
• Communicate health concerns and obtain medical history from clients.
• Maintain medical records and practice documentation with team support.
• Use safe restraining techniques and keep areas sterile and organized.
• Mentor and support fellow team members.
