Job summary

University of California - Irvine Health is seeking a fulltime surgeon with board eligibility/certification in emergency general surgery to cover ER cases and develop an elective practice across UCI Health community sites.

The ideal candidate will lead a team, foster relationships with community physicians, and advance patient care within the UCI Health system's Specialty Care Associates network.

Qualifications

• MD, DO, MBBS or equivalent degree.
• Fellowship completed.
• Eligible for California licensure.
• Experience in emergency general surgical care.
• Leadership and team-based care experience.
• Adhere to UC policies and protect patient confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Cover emergency general surgery and develop elective practice at UCI Health community sites.
• Grow a surgical practice and foster relationships with community physicians.
• Collaborate with other providers across the UCI Health system.
