Job summary

UC Irvine Health seeks a fulltime board certified/board eligible surgeon with experience in emergency general surgery/general surgery. The role covers emergency general surgery and developing an elective surgical practice at UCI Health community sites, within the SCA network.

The ideal candidate will grow a practice, foster collegial relationships with community-based physicians and other providers across the UCI Health system, and lead with a patient-centered approach.

Qualifications

• MD/DO/MBBS or equivalent degree.
• Fellowship completed.
• Eligible for California licensure.
• Experience in emergency general surgical care.
• Quality improvement experience.

Responsibilities

• Cover emergency general surgery and develop an elective surgical practice at UCI Health community sites.
• Grow a practice and foster collegial relationships with community physicians, specialty surgeons, and other providers across the UCI Health system.
• Work within the expanding Specialty Care Associates (SCA) network with other physicians and surgeons.
