Job summary

UCI Health in Orange County is seeking a fulltime board certified/board eligible surgeon with emergency general surgery experience to cover emergency operations and develop an elective surgical practice at UCI Health community clinical sites.

The ideal candidate will grow a practice, foster collegial relationships with community physicians and specialty surgeons, and participate in a surgical network across the UCI Health system.

Qualifications

• MD/DO/MBBS or equivalent required.
• Fellowship completion required or eligible.
• California licensure eligible/able to obtain licensure.
• Experience in emergency general surgical care and leadership.

Responsibilities

• Cover emergency general surgery and develop an elective surgical practice at UCI Health community sites.
• Grow a practice and foster relationships with community-based physicians and other providers.
• Participate in quality improvement to improve patient outcomes and adhere to UC policies.
