Job summary

Maricopa County is seeking a skilled Fatality Management Coordinator to join the Emergency Management team in Phoenix. The role focuses on planning, preparedness, response, and recovery for diverse emergencies, including mass casualty scenarios.

You will develop plans, coordinate across jurisdictions, and support exercises from the new EOC. Requires two years of program or project management experience in emergency management and a bachelor’s degree in emergency management, public or business

Qualifications

  • Two years of professional experience in program or project management in emergency management.
  • Bachelor’s degree in emergency management, public or business administration, or related field.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and assist in the planning and implementation of Department programs and initiatives.
  • Develop and evaluate emergency management plans, SOPs, and manuals for mass casualty and fatality management.
  • Manage the COOP program for the Office of the Medical Examiners and conduct trainings and drills.
  • Conduct after-action reviews and drive continuous improvement after exercises and real events.
  • Provide support to County departments and stakeholders on disaster preparedness, mitigation, response and recovery.
