Job summary

Easy Foods Inc. in Kissimmee, FL is seeking an Emergency Downtime Mechanic to be a frontline responder on the production floor. You will diagnose sudden equipment failures and restore lines quickly, with emphasis on safety and data quality for the CMMS.

You will maintain continuous operation of high-speed flour and corn processing lines, including mixing, pressing, baking, conveying, cooling, and packaging systems, while documenting actions and contributing to long-term reliability improvements.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in manufacturing maintenance.
• Experience with conveyors, drives, pneumatics, and production equipment.
• MaintainX CMMS experience preferred.
• Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced facility.
• Strong communication and documentation skills.
• Basic computer skills and MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Respond to unplanned equipment failures to restore production quickly and safely.
• Maintain continuous operation of high-speed flour and corn processing lines.
• Contribute high-quality data into the CMMS to drive reliability improvements.
• Serve as a Do-It-Now responder on the production floor.

Schedule: Tuesday – Saturday, 6:00 PM – 4:30 AM.

The Emergency Downtime (EDT) Mechanic is a frontline maintenance professional responsible for responding to unplanned equipment failures and restoring production as quickly and safely as possible. This role operates within a structured reliability system, ensuring that all emergency work not only resolves the immediate issue but also contributes high-quality data into the CMMS to drive long-term equipment reliability improvements.

EDT Mechanics function as “Do-It-Now” responders on the production floor, maintaining continuous operation of high-speed flour and corn processing lines, including mixing, pressing, baking, conveying, cooling, and packaging systems.

Qualifications

• Mechanic with a strong electrical background and a minimum of 5 years of experience in the manufacturing industry.
• Experience with conveyors, drives, pneumatics, and production equipment.
• Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced, high-output facility.
• Familiarity with CMMS systems (MaintainX preferred).
• Basic understanding of root cause thinking (not just symptom fixing).
• Strong communication and documentation skills.
• Computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office.
• Bilingual (English/Spanish)
