Job summary

Easy Foods Inc is seeking an Emergency Downtime Mechanic for night shifts to act as a frontline responder on the production floor, addressing unplanned equipment failures and restoring production quickly and safely. You will work across high-speed flour and corn processing lines, documenting details in the CMMS to improve long-term reliability.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience in manufacturing.
• Strong electrical background and experience with conveyors, drives, pneumatics, and production equipment.
• Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced, high-output facility.
• Familiarity with CMMS systems (MaintainX preferred).
• Basic understanding of root cause thinking beyond symptom fixing.
• Strong communication and documentation skills.
• Computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Respond to unplanned equipment failures and restore production quickly and safely.
• Operate on production lines including mixing, pressing, baking, conveying, cooling, and packaging systems to maintain continuous operation.
• Contribute high-quality data into the CMMS to drive long-term equipment reliability improvements.

Emergency Downtime - Mechanic Night Shift

Schedule: Tuesday – Saturday, 6:00 PM – 4:30 AM.

The Emergency Downtime (EDT) Mechanic is a frontline maintenance professional responsible for responding to unplanned equipment failures and restoring production as quickly and safely as possible. This role operates within a structured reliability system, ensuring that all emergency work not only resolves the immediate issue but also contributes high-quality data into the CMMS to drive long-term equipment reliability improvements.

EDT Mechanics function as “Do-It-Now” responders on the production floor, maintaining continuous operation of high-speed flour and corn processing lines, including mixing, pressing, baking, conveying, cooling, and packaging systems.

Qualifications:

• Mechanic with a strong electrical background and a minimum of 5 years of experience in the manufacturing industry.
• Experience with conveyors, drives, pneumatics, and production equipment.
• Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced, high-output facility.
• Familiarity with CMMS systems (MaintainX preferred) .
• Basic understanding of root cause thinking (not just symptom fixing).
• Strong communication and documentation skills .
• Computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office
