Job summary

Dairy Farmers of America is seeking a maintenance technician to perform repairs and preventive maintenance on production, processing, and packaging equipment in a on-site facility. You will read schematics, support new equipment installations, and assist operators to minimize downtime, all while following GMP and safety standards.

The shift runs Monday through Friday, 3pm–1am, with a base rate of $28.56 per hour plus a $2.00 per hour shift premium.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Graduation from trade/technical school preferred in electrical, PLC/HMI, mechanical, refrigeration, etc.
• 2–4 years of maintenance experience in manufacturing environment with electrical/mechanical focus.
• Experience on equipment including lubricating, cleaning, motor control, relay control, process control and packaging equipment.
• Certification and/or license may be required during course of employment.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance and/or repairs on production, processing, and packaging equipment and related systems following safety procedures.
• Perform preventive maintenance and routine inspections for reliability and performance.
• Read and interpret technical procedures, electrical schematics, service manuals, and work orders.
• Support installation of new equipment.
• Assist operators with troubleshooting to minimize downtime.
• Complete work orders promptly with high quality standards.
• Maintain documentation of repairs and required information.
• Follow GMP and health and safety regulations; cover for PTO/leave as needed.
