Hebrew Senior Life is seeking an EMT Dispatcher to coordinate emergency responses and dispatch first responders across a 162-acre campus serving 800+ residents and patients.

Ideal candidates will have EMT certification experience, strong interpersonal judgment, and a service-oriented approach suited to an older adult, faith-based community. The role requires effective communication, rapid decision-making, and meticulous documentation.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent (some agencies may require additional education).
• Proficient in using computer-aided dispatch systems and other communication tools like VoiceFriend.
• Strong multitasking abilities and ability to work under pressure.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to remain calm during stressful situations.
• Knowledge of medical terminology and emergency response protocols.
• Ability to work in shifts, including weekends, holidays, and overnight.
• Clean criminal background and drug screening
• Physical fitness and the ability to sit for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Emergency Call Management: Receive emergency calls from individuals in need of medical assistance.
• Dispatch Coordination: Use computer-aided systems to effectively assign staff to emergency and support calls.
• Coordinate multiple emergency calls simultaneously, prioritizing critical situations.
• Communication: Relay critical information to EMTs, paramedics, and other first responders via phone & radio.
• Resource Management: Maintain accurate records of emergency calls, responses, and outcomes.
