Job summary

Alliant Energy is seeking a Dispatch Specialist to handle electric and gas service dispatches, monitor systems, and coordinate field responses. You will manage emergencies, document activities, and ensure system reliability.

A high school diploma is required, with preference for utility operations experience. Applicants must be able to work a rotating shift, including weekends and holidays, and pass pre-employment checks.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 2 years of experience in utility operations/dispatch is preferred.
• Ability to monitor electric and gas systems and coordinate field response.

Responsibilities

• Dispatches for electric and gas services and coordinates field response.
• Responds to emergencies to minimize customer impact and maintain system integrity.
• Monitors electric distribution and gas systems; uses SCADA and other tools.
• Notifies and dispatches technicians for emergencies and service calls.
• Documents switching activities and updates systems and reports.
