Job summary

Beacon Health System in Indiana is seeking a Patient Care Assistant to support ED and hospital units. You will assist patients with daily activities, take vital signs, and report changes to the RN, upholding Beacon's values of respect, trust, integrity and compassion.

Candidates may be EMT certified or a CNA, with a high school diploma preferred, and must obtain BLS within 3 months. Shifts include 8–12 hours with a 10% shift differential and opportunities to grow through education and team

Qualifications

• Must be at least 17 years old.
• EMT certified (First Response, Basic, Advanced, or Paramedic).
• Must obtain BLS/CPR within 3 months of hire.
• Experience in the Emergency Department or related healthcare preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients with activities of daily living as delegated by RN.
• Obtain vital signs and report changes to the nurse.
• Represent the hospital in a compassionate and caring manner to patients and families.
• Participate in education, training, and unit meetings; support process improvements.
• Maintain safety and infection control in all patient care activities.
