ThedaCare is seeking an Emergency Department Technician to support patient care at the Waupaca campus. This full-time night-shift role (36 hours/week) requires teamwork, quick thinking, and the ability to move and assist in a busy ED environment.

You'll work under licensed staff, perform basic patient-care tasks, documentation, and patient transport, with emphasis on safety and excellent communication to ensure high-quality care for our patients and families.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED preferred.
• Must be 18 years of age.
• One year applicable healthcare experience.
• State of Wisconsin EMT-B or CNA certification or current nursing student.

Responsabilités

• Receives direction from licensed team members and provides technical support to patient care.
• Reports patient condition to licensed team members to ensure safe, quality care.
• Completes documentation to maintain accurate medical records.
• Reinforces patient education under supervision to ensure continuity of care.
• Assists with patient transport to other departments as appropriate.
• Maintains a safe environment by cleaning equipment, stocking supplies, and turning over rooms.

Connaissances

High School diploma or GED

Must be 18 years of age

American Heart Association BLS

One year healthcare experience

Formation

EMT-B or CNA Certification (Wisconsin)
