Qualifications

High school diploma or GED required, NCA I or NC EMT training preferred.
One year of related health care experience in ED/EMT recommended.
Current BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

Support patient care under nursing supervision and assist with examinations and procedures.
Assist with dressing, wound care, nutrition, hygiene, ambulation, and catheter care.
Perform CPR and handle high-risk patient situations on the ED floor.
Prepare patients and equipment for procedures and assist with specimen collection.
Transport patients and deliver supplies throughout the department.
Operate basic office equipment and help with patient registration and admissions.
