Job summary

Duke Regional Hospital in Durham, NC is seeking an Emergency Department Tech II to support patient care in a busy ED. You will perform routine and advanced clinical tasks under nursing supervision, assist physicians and nurses with examinations, treatments, and care, and handle clerical and technical duties to keep the department running smoothly.

The role requires an NCA I or EMT credential, BLS, willingness to work 3 x 12-hour shifts (days and nights), and the ability to lift and transport

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited high school or GED.
• Current NCA I or EMT credential as defined by NC Division of Facility Services.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.

Responsibilities

• Support patient care under nursing supervision.
• Assist with examinations, treatments, and procedures.
• Assist with dressings, wound care, and hygiene.
• CPR performed as needed.
• Collect specimens and transport patients.
• Maintain area cleanliness and supply readiness.
