Job summary

Lexington Health, Inc. is seeking an ED Technician to provide patient care in our Emergency Department, supporting nurses and physicians and ensuring timely, safe care for patients.

The ED Technician will assist with order entry, room preparation, and patient monitoring in a fast-paced ED environment. The role requires 1 year of patient care experience in an acute care setting, Basic Life Support (within 90 days of hire), and CPI training within 90 days.

Qualifications

• 1 year of patient care experience in an acute care setting.
• Basic Life Support certification required within 90 days of hire.
• Crisis Prevention Institute training within 90 days of hire.
• Proficiency with medical terminology and computer systems.

Responsibilities

• Perform assigned patient care tasks under the supervision of the Registered Nurse.
• Place patients on oxygen therapy and monitor with the cardiac monitor as directed.
• Assist with admissions, discharge and patient transport; maintain chart accuracy.
• Maintain clean rooms, stock supplies, and assist with routine patient care duties.
