Job summary

Lexington Health is seeking an ED Technician to provide patient care and support in the Emergency Department. The role includes order entry, supply stocking, and acting as a liaison between nursing staff, physicians, and patients.

Primary functions include assisting with treatments, monitoring vital signs, and helping with admissions, transfers, and discharge coordination. Basic computer skills and medical terminology knowledge are required.

Qualifications

• Minimum education: High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 1 year of patient care experience in an acute care setting.
• BLS and CPI Training within 90 days of hire.
• Basic knowledge of computer skills; working knowledge of medical terminology.

Responsibilities

• Assist nurses and physicians with administration of treatments and examinations.
• Place patients on oxygen therapy and monitor vital signs; record and report findings.
• Serve as unit secretary when needed: answer phones, schedule procedures, and manage charting.
