The Miriam Hospital in Providence, RI is seeking an Emergency Department Technician to support the clinical team under RN/LPN supervision. You will perform EKGs, vital signs, phlebotomy, patient transport, and assist with procedures, while maintaining safety and quality care.

This role requires a high school diploma, BLS, Rhode Island Nursing Assistant license or Medical Assistant program, and EMT license. One year of related experience is preferred; day shifts with rotating weekends are

• High School diploma or equivalent; BLS certification.
• Current Rhode Island Nursing Assistant license or Medical Assistant program completion.
• EMT license considered; relevant clinical training and patient care experience.

Responsabilidades

• Provide direct patient care and comfort under supervision.
• Perform EKGs, vital signs, phlebotomy, and monitor patient status.
• Assist with procedures and safely transport patients and equipment.
• Document data in the EHR and adhere to infection control policies.
• De-escalate tense situations and support nursing staff during emergencies.
