Job summary

MetroWest Medical Center is seeking an Emergency Department support technician to provide essential patient care and comfort in a busy ED. Under supervision, you will help with observation, moving patients, and ensuring safe delivery of care across age groups.

You will also participate in basic diagnostic tasks and patient transport. The role requires a High School Diploma, CPR certification, and at least 6 months of Emergency Department or related experience.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• Specialized courses in phlebotomy procedures, EKG, and vital signs.
• Yearly certification required.
• CPR certification required.
• Minimum 6 months’ experience as an Emergency Technician or related experience.

Responsibilities

• Assists with patient care and transports; performs stat duties as needed and takes vital signs.
• Assists with positioning and moving patients and restraining patients as directed.
• Observes disruptive patients and ensures safety per guidelines.
• Performs noninvasive respiratory measurements and oxygen delivery as directed.
• Performs phlebotomy and proper specimen labeling.
