Job summary

Grand River Health in Rifle, Colorado is hiring a PRN Surgical Technologist to support the surgical team and maintain a safe, efficient operating room. You will prepare the OR, pass instruments, monitor equipment, and assist with counts and specimen handling, ensuring patient safety and smooth procedures.

We’re seeking calm, detail-oriented team players with healthcare training and comfortable teamwork in a fast-paced setting. BLS is required on hire; prior OR experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Paramedic, EMT, MA, or CNA training preferred.
• Ability to follow instructions and maintain safety in a surgical setting.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare the operating room with sterile instruments and supplies.
• Maintain sterile field by passing instruments and supporting the team.
• Perform instrument, sponge, and supply counts; assist with specimen handling.
• Operate and monitor OR equipment including sterilizers and lights.
• Assist with equipment maintenance and inventory management in the OR.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
