Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technologist program.
• Must hold a Surgical Technologist license with the State of Colorado (DORA).
• Certification through the AST preferred.
• Current AHA BLS certification required upon hire and maintained throughout employment.
• 1–2 years of experience in a healthcare or surgical setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare the operating room by organizing sterile instruments, supplies, and equipment for surgical procedures.
• Maintain the sterile field by passing instruments, assisting surgeons, and supporting the surgical team throughout procedures.
• Perform accurate instrument, sponge, and supply counts while assisting with specimen handling and dressing application.
• Operate and monitor surgical equipment, including sterilizers, suction devices, lights, and other operating room equipment.
• Assist with equipment maintenance, inventory management, sterilization processes, and operating room readiness in collaboration with the Circulating RN.
• Performs a variety of tasks and other duties as assigned.
