Job summary

RWJBarnabas Health is seeking an RN for the Emergency Department at Community Medical Center in Toms River, NJ. The Day shift offers 12-hour coverage with full-time status and a competitive pay range.

Ideal candidates hold an active NJ RN license with BLS, ACLS, and PALS, and preferably a BSN with ED or acute care experience. EPIC experience is a plus as you work in a fast-paced, collaborative ED environment.

Qualifications

• Active New Jersey RN license in good standing
• Current American Heart Association BLS, ACLS & PALS certification
• Bachelor's degree in Nursing strongly preferred
• At least 1 year of current patient care experience in acute care or ED
• Experience with electronic medical records (EPIC) preferred

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and recognize clinical changes
• Provide safe, evidence-based medications and hands-on care
• Partner with physicians and providers to support timely, coordinated care
• Educate patients and families clearly and compassionately
• Ensure accurate EMR documentation for continuity and safety
• Participate in interdisciplinary rounds to support smooth transitions of care
• Contribute to a collaborative team environment focused on outcomes
• Pursue ongoing professional growth through education and ladder opportunities
