Job summary

Grandview Medical Center - Birmingham, AL seeks a Registered Nurse (RN) for the Emergency Department. This full-time day shift runs 7am–7pm, providing patient-centered care across the ED with emphasis on rapid assessment, care coordination, and safety.

The RN collaborates with physicians and the healthcare team to implement care plans, perform procedures within competency, educate patients and families, and participate in performance improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• Experience with clinical nursing in acute care preferred.
• Strong assessment and documentation skills.
• Ability to educate patients and families clearly.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates and delivers patient-centered care per nursing process.
• Performs thorough assessments and documents findings.
• Administers medications and monitors for adverse effects.
• Collaborates with physicians and the care team to develop care plans.
