Community Hospital in Grand Junction, CO is seeking a Registered Nurse to join our Emergency Department as a full-time Charge Nurse. This leadership role combines supervision with direct patient care across shifts.

The RN will assign staffing, mentor staff, perform clinical tasks, educate patients and families, and ensure seamless coordination of care while maintaining compliance with regulatory standards in a fast-paced ED setting.

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree required or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Current RN licensure in the state of practice.
• Minimum of 2-3 years of clinical nursing experience.
• BLS and ACLS certification (required).
• Additional certifications depending on unit (e.g., PALS, TNCC, etc.).

Responsabilidades

• Assign nursing staff based on patient acuity and staff competency.
• Provide direct supervision, mentorship, and guidance to nursing staff.
• Comprehensive Assessment and Care Planning: conduct thorough patient assessments and develop individualized care plans.
• Clinical Procedures and Interventions: administer medications, wound care, starting IVs, and managing high-acuity cases.
• Patient and Family Education: explain diagnoses, treatments, and recovery plans.
• Coordination of Care: act as liaison among healthcare team, patients, and families.
• Manage daily shift operations, including staffing adjustments, patient flow, and resource allocation.
• Maintain compliance with state and federal regulations, accreditation standards, and hospital policies.
