BJC HealthCare in Bridgeton, MO is seeking an Emergency Department Charge Nurse (RN) to support a high-acuity ED. This role leads unit activities on a shift, delivers direct nursing care when needed, and collaborates with the interprofessional team to ensure high-quality patient experience.

The Charge Nurse will assess, plan, and coordinate nursing care, document the nursing process, and advocate for evidence-based practices to advance patient outcomes.

Qualifications

• Nursing Diploma or Associate's degree required
• RN license required
• 2-5 years nursing experience; supervisor experience not required

Responsibilities

• Plan, direct, and coordinate unit activities on a designated shift.
• Provide direct patient care as needed.
• Assess and document the nursing process for the unit.
• Identify and resolve gaps in care across hospitalization, discharge, and ambulatory care.
• Lead interprofessional team in developing and implementing care plans and improving outcomes.
