Job summary

University of Maryland Medical System Corporation is seeking a Patient Care Technician in the Emergency/Observation Department on a part-time day shift from 7:00 am to 7:30 pm. Under supervision of licensed staff, you will perform vital signs, assist with daily living activities, collect specimens, and support patient care across the continuum.

The role requires a High School diploma or equivalent, Maryland CNA or GNA certification, and current BLS certification; one year of experience is

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Current Maryland CNA or GNA certification required.
• One year of previous experience preferred.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.

Responsibilities

• Take vital signs and monitor patient status under supervision.
• Perform blood draws and collect specimens as directed.
• Assist with activities of daily living and mobility.
• Record patient data and communicate changes to the team.
• Support admission, transfer, and discharge processes.
• Maintain patient safety and care environment.
