ChristianaCare in Delaware is seeking an ED Registration Clerk to support timely patient intake and accurate billing. You will collect demographics and insurance information, verify eligibility, scan IDs, and coordinate with visitors while maintaining patient confidentiality in a busy emergency department.

The role requires high school education and about two years of medical, financial, or customer service experience; experience in patient care is a plus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Two years’ experience in medical, financial, or customer service environments.
• Experience in patient care preferred.

Responsabilités

• Register patients by collecting and entering accurate demographics and insurance information.
• Verify insurance eligibility and ensure proper documentation.
• Greet patients and visitors in a caring, professional manner.
• Scan and attach photo IDs and insurance cards to the EMR.
• Assist with admissions, discharges, and transfers as needed.
• Provide excellent customer service and wayfinding within the ED.
• Maintain confidentiality and comply with safety and privacy rules.
