Job summary

Essentia Health's Emergency Department seeks Nursing Assistants to deliver direct patient care and perform unit secretary duties. The role is 24 hours per week with an every-other-weekend and holiday rotation, requiring rotating shifts.

Qualifications include BLS within 3 months of hire; CNA preferred by North Dakota DOH. If not certified, must register as a Nurse Assistant within 3 months of employment. FTE: 0.6.

Qualifications

• Provides direct patient care under RN supervision.
• Performs unit secretary duties as assigned.
• Maintains safety and comfort of patients per Joint Commission standards.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care under RN supervision.
• Take vital signs and document accurately.
• Perform unit secretary duties: answer phones, desk work, computer use, log records.
• Ensure HIPAA compliance and maintain a safe, clean environment.
