Job summary

Mercy Health in Springfield is seeking a Nursing Assistant Unit Clerk for the Emergency Department. You will provide direct patient care under the guidance of a registered nurse and assist with patient flow in a fast-paced ED.

Qualifications

• High School/GED is required.
• Nursing student with first clinical rotation complete or state testing completed is required.
• BLS from American Heart Association preferred.
• Experience in acute or long-term care is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care under RN guidance per policies and regulations.
• Serve as liaison between patient and nurse and report changes.
• Deliver high level customer service to patients and families.
• Document accurately and timely patient care information
• Communicate clearly with the health care team
• Use clinical technology and notify physicians as required
