Job summary

NYU Langone Hospital—Brooklyn is seeking a Patient Care Technician/Senior Nursing Attendant for the Emergency Dept. Night Shift. You will assist the nurse in patient care, maintain safety of supplies, and support unit operations while delivering compassionate, high‑quality care.

Qualifications

• High School graduate or equivalent required.
• Graduate of a PCT program with at least 6 months hospital experience, or CNA graduate with EKG & Phlebotomy course and PCT certification eligible plus 6 months hospital experience.
• BLS or Heartsaver CPR/AED certification required on entry to position.

Responsibilities

• Assist the professional nurse in patient care tasks and maintain safety of supplies and equipment.
• Support unit operations including data collection for Quality and Performance Improvement.
• Ensure patient confidentiality, privacy, dignity and rights while performing duties.
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the health care team.
