Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Basic computer knowledge and strong keyboarding skills.
• Successful completion of HUC post-secondary program or HUC Certification preferred.
• Minimum of one year working experience in a medical environment preferred.
• Knowledge of basic medical terminology preferred; EPIC experience preferred.
• Outstanding customer service, interpersonal and organizational skills.
• Ability to adapt to unpredictable patient-care settings; willing to work flexible hours.

Responsabilités

• The Health Unit Coordinator provides organizational, receptionist, and clerical support to patient care units and the health care team.
• Monitors and orders supplies, answers patient call lights, and assists with managing orders in the EHR.
• Communicates effectively with patients, visitors, and facility staff and supports the care team on the continuum of care.
