Job summary

ChristianaCare’s Union Hospital is seeking an Assistant Nurse Manager to join the Emergency Department leadership team. This full-time ANM will support the Nurse Manager in clinical practice direction and delivery of high-quality care, with predominantly off-shift hours and some day shifts.

Qualifications include a Bachelor's in Nursing, an optional Master's in Nursing or Healthcare Management, current licensure, and a minimum of five years in clinical leadership.

Qualifications

• Experience leading clinical teams in a hospital setting.
• Current nursing licensure and BLS certification required.
• Strong collaboration with multidisciplinary staff and leadership.

Responsibilities

• Supervises nursing and technical personnel; manages daily staffing and scheduling.
• Participates in hiring, promotions, and disciplinary actions as appropriate.
• Leads performance improvement and patient safety initiatives.
• Develops staff knowledge and system-wide process improvements.
• Monitors operations and ensures high-quality patient care delivery.
• Directs supervision of RNs, LPNs, UAPs, clerical staff and support personnel.
