ChristianaCare Union Hospital's Emergency Department is seeking a full-time Assistant Nurse Manager to share leadership with the Nurse Manager and direct the clinical nursing practice and quality of care. The ANM will work an off‑shift schedule with some day shifts, supervising nursing and technical staff, and driving staffing decisions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing; Master's degree in Nursing, Healthcare or Business Management preferred.
• Five years of clinical and leadership experience preferred.
• Current nursing licensure and approved specialty certification.
• Current BLS required.

Responsibilities

• Supervises all nursing and technical personnel; assess staff proficiency and staffing needs; evaluate performance and counsel staff.
• Participates in hiring, promotion and termination decisions; acts as role model with quality expertise.
• Develops, implements, and monitors performance improvement and patient safety initiatives.
• Identifies and develops strategies to improve staff knowledge base and integrity.
• Analyzes administrative and operational functions; implements system-wide improvements.
