The position requires a high school diploma or GED, with Associate's degree preferred, and 1–3 years of patient service experience in a hospital or clinic setting.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Associate's degree preferred.
• 1-3 years in customer service or hospital/clinic setting preferred.
• Ability to keep composure in a high-stress environment.
• Able to stand for long periods and lift/push 35–50 lb.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for accurate patient identification in a high-stress environment.
• Bedside registration including demographics, insurance and regulatory forms.
• Verify insurance at bedside and collect copayment if applicable.
• Manage ED patient workflow and frontline communications.
• Answer multi-line telephone and coordinate inquiries and EMS desk tasks.
