Job summary

Northwestern Medicine Kishwaukee Hospital Emergency Department seeks an Emergency Department Technician IHR to support patient care under the supervision of RNs and physicians. Responsibilities include monitoring patients, assisting with treatments and procedures, and ensuring safety and clear communication within the care team.

The role requires a High School diploma, active Illinois EMT license (EMT-P or EMT-B with experience), and BLS; ACLS/PALS are preferred.

Qualifications

• Current Illinois EMT-P license or EMT-B with at least one year of relevant experience.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• BLS certification; ACLS/PALS preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care under RN/Physician supervision and monitor vital signs.
• Assist with procedures, data collection, and reporting of clinical findings.
• Support safety, infection control, and effective communication across the care team.
