Sentara Leigh Hospital in Norfolk, VA seeks an Emergency Department Technician for part-time, 24 hours/week night shift. Supports the care team, assists with plans of care, and performs procedures under supervision in a busy ED setting.

Required: High School Diploma or equivalent, previous clinical experience, and EMT-B or equivalent certification/clinical program. BLS within 90 days. Competitive benefits offered.

• High School Diploma or equivalent (Required).
• EMT-B with state or national certification at time of hire OR completion of US Military Hospital Corps School OR current student in a clinical program (RN, LPN, Respiratory, PT) with at least one semester completed.
• Prior Sentara ED Tech experience within the past two years will be considered in lieu of the above criteria.
• Previous clinical experience (Required).

• Assist Physician, Advanced Practitioner, or Nurse in implementing plans of care for emergency/minor care patients.
• Perform patient procedures and treatments under supervision.
• De-escalation and physical intervention training within 15 days of hire.

The base pay range for full-time employment is $20.07 - $29.88 hourly. Additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, on-call pay, overtime, shift premiums, extra-shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.
