Job summary

Sentara Norfolk General Hospital is seeking an Emergency Department Technician for the Night shift (7PM-7AM), part-time (24 hours/week). You will assist clinicians in emergency care, perform procedures under supervision, and complete de-escalation training within 15 days of hire.

Required: high school diploma and clinical experience; EMT-B certification or approved alternative; eligibility or current clinical enrollment. Competitive benefits accompany the role.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent (Required).
• EMT-B certification or eligibility at time of hire; or equivalent military hospital training or active clinical program.
• Candidate may be a current student in a clinical program with at least one completed semester.
• Previous Sentara ED Tech experience in the past two years is considered.

The base pay range for full-time employment is $20.07 - $29.88 hourly. Additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, on-call pay, overtime, shift premiums, extra-shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.
