Job summary

Sentara Lake Ridge is seeking an Emergency Department Technician in Woodbridge, VA to assist in implementing plans of care for emergency patients. You will perform lab draws, EKGs, and support nurses and doctors in patient care under supervision.

The role requires EMT-B cert or equivalent, or active clinical program enrollment, with BLS within 90 days. Sentara offers comprehensive benefits and growth opportunities in a community hospital setting.

Qualifications

• Minimum Education is High School Diploma or equivalent with one of the listed clinical credentials.
• EMT-B with state or national certification at time of hire or military hospital corps school completion or current clinical program student with at least one semester.
• Candidates with prior ED tech experience at Sentara may be considered in lieu of criteria above.

Responsibilities

• Assist physicians, advanced practitioners, or nurses in implementing care plans.
• Perform patient procedures and treatments under supervision.
• Complete de-escalation and physical intervention training within 15 days of hire.
• Conduct lab draws, EKGs, and support nurses and doctors with patient care.
